Mathias Caelenberghe
PhD Candidate
Mathias is a PhD research student whose research was shaped by great uncertainty prompted by the pandemic, it explores new routes to understanding the needs and motivations of cultural institutions, how they meet their needs via digital technologies and how they reach the public.
Having graduated as a Software and Systems Engineer from University College HOWEST in Belgium, his education was focused on software development which includes UX design. Since the last decade his growing interest for culture and (art)history lay at the base of this research. It will aid the contact between the public and cultural institutions, creating a better understanding between the two.
