The Observer and Nesta have listed two of our research partners in their Top 50 New radicals.
Data Mill and Hebe Media made the 2014 list, which celebrates and supports exciting new projects making a real difference in communities.
The Media Innovation Studio is working with Data Mill, Hebe media, One&Othertv, Leeds City council and York City Council as part of a Nesta/Technology Strategy board funded project called Media Mill.
The project builds on earlier investment by the UK innovation charity Nesta, which enabled Hebe Media to launch the development of a mobile news service. During an 18 month long project the partners will investigate ways that locally sourced open data can be used to create new media technologies and experiences that improve peoples’ lives and support thriving, local media eco-systems.
